Joining the Club
This page contains information for prospective members. If you have any other queries after reading this page, please feel free to contact us on contact@crawleytownlsc.com.
Training
Club night is on a Tuesday from 20:00 - 22:00. For members taking awards, this will involve one hour of dryside training followed by one hour of pool training. Members who have joined the squad (after passing awards) will have 45 minutes in the pool, followed by another hour in the pool from 21:00.
Open water training is regularly undertaken during the summer months at Southwater Country Park near Horsham, on a Tuesday evening. Please contact us beforehand as sometimes arrangements can change.
Squad training is great fun, involving new skills based around swimming. We will introduce you to new and exciting events and can give you an insight to how Life Saving competitions work.
If you are interested in trying life saving, come along for two free sessions to see if it is for you. All you need to do is let the Chair know, by emailing chair@crawleytownlsc.com. If you want more information still, send your phone number and we'll call you back!
For information on where we train, visit the 'About Us' page.
Fees
Membership is paid annually and is £25.25 (youth) or £38.75 (senior), which includes membership to the RLSS. There are also quarterly subs that are used to go towards pool hire and equipment, this is £48 or £45 if paid by direct debit.
Entry into competitions is at an extra cost. These are usually per event. These costs are relatively small, depending on the number of events you are doing.
Membership to the RLSS UK and SLSGB are also on an annual basis, and you need to be members of these organisations to compete in their respective events.
